School Improvement Plans 2021-2022
Under state law, every school in the district is required to create a school improvement plan annually to highlight its work, set goals and objectives, and ensure the schools continue to move toward overall improvement and success for all students. The SIP analyzes and highlights areas within the school that need improvement including academics, attendance, school culture, and family and community engagement. SIPs also include strategic objectives and action plans to overcome the challenges the school faces and ensure the school, students, and faculty are meeting both district and statewide expectations.
District Improvement Plans 2021-2023
For the first time ever, Salem Public Schools has created district improvement plans (DIPs) that detail the key buckets of work associated with each one of our 12 priorities. These DIPs are intended to guide district-level work, which means assessing the plans and determining the next steps on an ongoing basis. Part of the ongoing review process is to look at what’s working, and what’s not, and adjust our approach accordingly.
