Selecting a School

Key Considerations for Choosing a School

Choosing the right school for your child is a personal decision. Each of our schools has their own character and opportunities for your child. We are proud to offer many great choices of schools in Salem. We encourage you to learn more about all of our schools and the choices available to you before identifying your three preferences on the student registration form.
The following questions may help you identify what's most important to you and your family in selecting a new school option for your child. Consider questions such as:
  1. What are the things about a school that matter most to you and your family? Is it the school's:
    • Academics and/or enrichment programs?
    • Culture and climate?
    • Location or hours?
    • ..., or, is it a combination of factors?
  2. In what type of environment do you think your child would thrive?
  3. What convenience and/or logistical factors are important to you?
  4. What other factors are important for your child?

A map showing each school's location may be helpful to identify where each school is in proximity to your home. In addition, the hours for each school may also be helpful.
