Instructional Coaches

PreK-12 instructional coaches support teachers in the areas of literacy, math, social studies and science. Working alongside teachers, they build content knowledge and facilitate instructional planning. Coaches provide professional development, curriculum resources, model lessons, and opportunities for data review and analysis.

Reading Specialists

Reading specialists provide targeted reading support to students who need additional instruction and practice in foundational reading skills. These teachers have extensive training in diagnosing roadblocks and providing intervention. Reading specialists may work with students individually or in small groups for several weeks or for longer periods, depending on need.

Tutors & Interventionists

Tutors and interventionists provide additional services in language arts and math. Student data determines which students would best benefit from more instruction and practice.

The Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment team also works collaboratively with the English Language Learning & Bilingual Education, Pupil Personnel and Special Education, Student and Family Supports, and Instructional Technology departments.
