What is the District Accommodation Plan?
Every school district must have a “District Accommodation Plan” that ensures that all efforts have been made to meet students’ academic, social/emotional, and behavioral needs in the regular classroom. This document assists school leaders and teachers analyze and accommodate diverse learning styles. Educators can choose from a menu of appropriate services and supports to address the needs of children who do not qualify for special education services. This document is also helpful to families who are investigating next steps for children who may need alternative strategies to help them succeed.
