In our efforts to provide high-quality education and culturally responsive teaching and learning, Salem Public Schools has had the opportunity to partner with both TNTP (formally The New Teacher Project) & Equity Imperative to address matters of inequities within our district. Since 2020, TNTP has been instrumental in supporting us with our teacher diversification, recruitment and retention efforts while The Equity Imperative has customized a-synchronous training for our Executive team and school-based staff as we take strides to becoming a more anti-racist institution. Below you can find links and information on our partners.

The Equity Imperative

At The Equity Imperative, we envision the day when all organizations become sanctuary sites for equity. Our goal is to equip practitioners to make advancing racial equity the core of their everyday work so that designed initiatives live beyond our partnership. We collaborate with our partners to identify racial equity problems, diagnose their causes, and design context-driven systemic solutions. –
