Inclusion

The majority of students receiving IEP services will do so within an inclusion placement. Inclusion means that for most of the day the student is provided instruction within the general education setting taught by a general education teacher. During portions of the day a special education teacher or related service provider will go into the classroom to work with the student on their assigned goals. The general education teacher and special education teacher or related service provider will also work together to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place for the included student. A child may require small doses of instruction outside the general education classroom provided the majority of the students day remains in the general education setting.
