Salem's Judee Davis to Present at Conference

Salem's Judee Davis to Present American Occupational Therapy Association Conference

Judee Davis, an occupational therapist with Salem Public Schools, was honored at a School Committee meeting on Monday, October 7, after being selected to present at the American Occupational Therapy Association’s spring conference.

Davis will present the curriculum, “The Inner Compass Companions,” which she developed and published as a capstone project in her Master’s program. The curriculum focuses on sensory self-regulation for young students and will be piloted at the Bates School this year. She was chosen from more than 2,000 applicants nationwide to present to her OT peers.

Judee obtained a Masters’ degree in Personal and Organizational Wellness in May 2019. She began this school year with newfound excitement about applying tools and strategies to assist Salem’s learners in self-regulation, including mindfulness practice, that can address anxiety and sensory issues.
