VIEW GALLERY | Collins Middle School Scholars Return to Bates to Build Connections with Pre-K Students

Emphasizing the Salem Public Schools Strategic Plan core value of belonging, Collins Middle Schools sixth graders — all of whom Bates Elementary School alumni — returned to their alma mater to meet Bates pre-K students on Thursday, Apr. 9.
The primary focus of the meetup was to strike up conversations regarding school-related issues, connection building and ‘would you rather’ challenges, and discovering ways in which they were the same and different.
Bates and Collins scholars will meet again on May 16 at Endicott Park for a day of fun and games and more relationship building.
