Whenever Grant Dwyer touches the wall in the water after a race and looks up at the pace clock, there’s a good chance he’s set another record.
The Salem High swim team’s MVP piled up a number of them during the 2024-25 season, highlighted by achieving new Northeastern Conference records in the 200 IM (1:54.29) and 500 freestyle (4:42.29) at the Division 2 state championship meet at Boston University, finishing second in both events. The 200 IM mark had stood for 36 years, while the 500 free mark had stood for 13 years.
