HIGHLIGHTS: Empowering Educators on Professional Development Day-Mar. 6, 2024

Consistent with its commitment to its 2023-26 Strategic Plan, Salem Public Schools held its Professional Development Day Wednesday, Mar. 6, preceded by its staff pep rally at the Veterans Memorial Fieldhouse at Salem High School.

Rapper/educator/motivator Dee-1, our artist-in-residence, served as the master of ceremonies.

Encompassing all four core values of the Strategic Plan — elevating education, empowering educators, center belonging and strengthening our foundation — the rally involved performance art from SHS alumni, staff and current students while administration, faculty and staff engaged in points-based fun contests which saw each school and the Central Office compete.
