Liz Polay-Wettengel has been a communications professional for over 20 years. She came to Salem Public Schools in December 2019 after successfully managing several high-profile communications efforts for mission-driven nonprofit organizations. As the Vice President of Digital Strategy and Content for InterfaithFamily, she developed and oversaw a robust marketing and communications strategy, rebranding, and ongoing implementation plan for the organization. She spent many years as the Manager of Marketing and Communications for Combined Jewish Philanthropies and is the co-creator of their cornerstone website JewishBoston.com. Prior to her non-profit work, she was a book publicist and artist relations representative at EMI Music in New York. She brings experience in internal communications as well as external strategies that include social media, digital marketing, website management, press, public relations, and more.

Liz applies a lifelong learner model to stay current with digital marketing and communications trends and enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
