SALEM — Collins Middle School assistant principal Eliza Cassella has raised over $2,100 for a Chicago-based home for children overcoming abuse ahead of her run in the upcoming Chicago Marathon.
Throughout her 16 years in education, Cassella described herself as a strong advocate of leading by example. And by running in the Chicago Marathon, she hopes to show students the value of perseverance in the face of adversity.
