New Liberty Innovation School Basketball Tournament Fundraiser

Tournament to benefit NLIS student initiatives, opportunities

SALEM (Feb. 12, 2024) – The New Liberty Innovation School will host its second annual Basketball Tournament Fundraiser Saturday, Mar. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Salem High School.

The Tournament will consist of 10 teams and will be played in a single elimination format. All proceeds from the Tournament will benefit NLIS student activities including helping fund senior dues, the senior family dinner, learning opportunities and internships as well as community building initiatives.

The Tournament committee is seeking sponsors and donations of raffle items. To become a sponsor or to donate items, contact either of the following NLIS administrators:

During the Tournament, three free one-hour basketball clinic sessions will be offered to students in grades 3-5:

  • Session 1: 12-1 p.m.
  • Session 2: 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • Session 3: 3-4 p.m.

Additionally, a Salem Public Schools employee exhibition game will be played at approximately 4 p.m., just prior to the Tournament final. Interested SPS staff are encouraged to contact any of the staff listed above.
