SALEM — After a successful “Snow Day Challenge” in January, Salem Public Schools held another contest during Monday’s blizzard, asking students experiencing yet another snow day to write about their favorite things about Salem, with submissions listing everything from ice cream at the Willows to Halloween festivities.
On the snow day on Jan. 26, the district asked students to submit pictures and recipes of their favorite snow day treats. The contest recieved more than 50 submissions including Tres Leche Cake, Snow Parfait, Ramen Noodle Spring Rolls, and much more. The following day, the district asked students to submit videos of their snow day celebration dances.
