Preregistration Open for Salem Technical Institute’s 2025-26 Coursework in Four Career Tracks

Students can earn entry level certification in Automotive Technology, Sustainable Building and Technology, Electrical Technology and HVAC and Heat Pump Technology
SALEM (July 17, 2025) – SALEM – The Salem Technical Institute, which offers entry-level certifications in several career pathways, is accepting pre-registration for their anticipated programs in hands-on workforce training this fall and winter.
These programs are open to eligible applicants at no cost in partnership with the Career Technical Initiative grant from CommCorp and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center Workforce.
STI is anticipating offering two career tracks of study this fall in Automotive Technology and Sustainable Building and Technology, and four tracks – Automotive Technology, Sustainable Building and Technology, Electrical Technology and HVAC and Heat Pump Technology – this winter.
Automotive Technology and Sustainable Building and Technology coursework is expected to begin Monday, Sept. 8. Classes meet Monday-Thursday (5-9 p.m.) for 12 weeks.
Students receive certification in OSHA standards, First Aid/CPR and AED; Hotworks and industry-related certifications.
The winter coursework is scheduled to begin Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 and will meet Monday-Thursday (5-9 p.m.) for 12 weeks.
Students will also receive certification in OSHA standards, First Aid/CPR and AED; Hotworks as well as industry-related certifications.
Additionally, students receive career development guidance including instruction with resumes, cover letters and interview preparation. Upon completion of the coursework, students are eligible to receive job placement opportunities through STI’s partnership with the MassHire North Shore Career Center.
Courses are open to recent graduates, unemployed/under employed, and those seeking a career change toward any of the career tracks. Students will learn from professionals in each track.
Graduation ceremonies will be held shortly after coursework is complete.
