WATCH | Salem High School Marching Band 2026 Band Camp Demonstration
Salem High School’s Veterans Memorial Fieldhouse was transformed into a football field as the SHS Marching Band performed its annual Band Camp Demonstration.
Under the leadership of Ben Chertok, Coordinator of Music, the band went through preparation routines and basic exercises before performance.
The two-time New England School Bands Association (NESBA) Champion, the Marching Band treated the audience to part of its 2026-27 field show, ‘Diamonds in the Sky.’
On Sunday afternoon, Aug. 30, the SHS Marching Band will perform at the Feast of St. Anthony in Boston’s North End (Time TBA). The Marching Band’s first official performance of ‘Diamonds in the Sky’ will be Friday, Sept. 11 at halftime of the football team’s home opener against KIPP Academy Lynn.
